Whole

Collected like dust
on the window pane.
Unsettled,
uneasy;
trying to please her imagination
but all she does is tease me.
These girls run madly, into us like trains off their tracks
with a handful of hair and sharp teeth digging into your back
Look onward,
don’t look back in fear of the unknown

Although our kisses do not expire
it is most deceiving
in the evening,
when our eyes lock
but our bodies are too tired to melt as one

We sip tea when the coffee has reached its peak,
Speak in cosmic tongues as we await the morning sun
blindly swim up soft skin seeking refuge
love each other wildly until the morning cracks us open
I want to be whole again.
